Chayote in oven Recipe


1 + 1/2 cup water
2 large chayote, peeled the skin
1 tbsp currants
1 tbsp golden rasins
4 tbsp apple sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp white vinegar

Cooking Directions:
Wash chayotes. Cut into half and remove the seed.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In a deep an oven tray, place chayotes in it. Sprinkle sugar on top.
Fill with apple sauce. On top add currants and raisins. Pour water on the bottom of the tray. Sprinkle cinnamon and nutmeg. Add the vinegar in the tray. Cook it about 40 minutes.
