Creating WordPress homepage as a static page not blog entries

readings

In order to use a static homepage for your WordPress site first you need to create a page called “Home” or “Homepage” and then link to that. You can also hide the page name by not giving any name, but that is not a proper way to do it. You also use the home button on your navigation menu too.
Then go to “Settings” on your dashboard choose “Reading”.
Change Front page displays as A static page (you can select in the dropdown menu)
Make Your latest posts as another page. You may create a page called blog or articles.

In other words you will see at the top that you have a pulldown existing pages on your site (choose homepage/home whatever you named) you want to use as frontpage. Then choose which page you want to use for the blog (“Posts Page”).
