Mussel Eats Salt

What do salt water mussels eat?

Mussels can live in both fresh water and salt water.
Saltwater mussels and freshwater mussels both eat plankton and microcystins that are floating around in the ocean. To keep themselves from being swept away in big waves they can hold onto rocks like glue. They open their shells, and when the water flows over their cilia, it deposits the food.
